Welcome to our bohemian DIY apartment with AC in a 130 year old building in the JEWISH DISTRICT! 40m² self designed space,which we created with my husband Nandor with our own hands. We (Dorka&Nándor, a married couple) created this space by our own hands in 2012, in the spirit of re-cycling and up-cycling. We never stop improving the design and bringing in new retro and antique decoration elements. Thats why we re-make our photos every few yers :). The home is full with our own personal objects and also vintage pieces collected from friends, from street and flee markets. Not if we didn't like Ikea, but we belive that old furnitures have a soul and they always deserve a second chance. We wanted to create a space where you feel yourself cozy and calm.

The apartment is spacious, 40 m² with a kitchen, a large bathroom and a big bedroom which also serves as a livingroom.

When entering the apartment you arrive to the KITCHEN AREA. It has an antique dining table which can sit 2. The kitchen itself is small but equipped with all the necessities:
- Fridge
- Microwave Owen
- Toaster, Water Boiler, Coffee Maker
- Electric Stove
- Pans in all the necessary sizes

From the kitchean eare you can get to the BATHROOM with shower, washing mashine and toilet. In the bathroom you will find soaps and shampoo too.

From the kitchen area you can also reach the BEDROOM which also serves as LIVINGROOM. The room is 25 m² so these 2 functions absolutly has space. We stilted the bed with a podium so you can feel yourself a bit separated when sleeping. The bed is 160x200cm and very comfy. At the end of the bed you can find the old wardrobe of Nándor’s grandmother, where you can hang your precious clothes.
In the LIVINGROOM function you will find a comfy armchair which can be folded into a 80x200cm bed. The small white fake leather chair is an emblematic piece from the 70’s. It is called „SKY FOTEL” and one of the most comfy things to sit on! The cute retro coffe table is colleted from the street- it is crazy what people are throwing away! The TRIANGLE SHELF on the wall is made by Nándor. I saw the idea on pinterest, said Nándor: „hey babe, the description seems so easy, could you make it for me?” It seemed easy but it wasnt, haha! Nándor swore at my name several tims during the proess, but finally he made it! And it is sooo cool, isn’t it?
Between the two windows you can find a hand made DESK TABLE where you can sit down with your work, write your bullet journal or make art! DIGITAL NOMADS are welcome!
And the huge CARPET is something that manifested when I wanted to buy a handmade persian buti t was way too expensive… Then a friend of mine asked: hey, don’t you need a nice carpet int he apartments? And I said, hell yeah! It is so beutiful and is from a friend, so a real treasure.

We are BABY FRIENDLY. Should you need any equipment (baby chair, baby bed, bath etc..) let us known!
We are also PET FRIENDLY. Please accept that we only welcome well behaved, nicely kept dogs who are never allowed alone in the apartment OR kept in a dog boksz. Any damage they migh cause, the financial responsibility is on the guest.

The building of the apartments is a 120 year old tenement house, with cute open-corridors and many flowers. The building is lived by very friendly local people, so you can have a taste from the authentic Budapest lifestyle.
