After five years of full time travel, Flatio is our number one platform for our apartment hunting.

The fee is quite high and very annoying if you have to pay every single time when you book it

One thing that's very unexpected for someone used to Airbnb, is the expectation to do a deep clean before leaving the apartment. Many times, people will be leaving for a flight at the end of a vacation, so it makes it difficult to perform, and will likely surprise many users.

When I was unsure whether the landlord would actually reply after already paying the stay, Flatio immediately stepped in and reached out to him. I felt well supported by Flatio and quite safe with them to avoid any scams. Would totally recommend it.

Great service. The platform makes it easy to find and secure a place to stay with easy agreements and payment tools.

Communication was clear and consistent. I would use Flatio again and recommend for longer stays.

Overall, the experience was good, but there are a couple of things Flatio could improve. The service fee is quite high and has to be paid in full with the first month, rather than being spread across the rental period. This makes the upfront payment unnecessarily heavy for longer stays. Also, cards issued in some countries, such as Georgia and Armenia, aren’t accepted for payments, which can be quite inconvenient for international tenants.

Good customer service. The owner's 'rules' were different to the rules in the contract. I'd suggest Flatio clarify with owners that they should not be permitted to do this.

I appreciated the security of having a proper contract and the support from the Flatio team. When an overlapping booking issue occurred, they responded promptly, helped coordinate the situation, and made sure it was resolved fairly. That gave me confidence in using the platform. One area for improvement would be preventing overlapping bookings from happening in the first place, as relocating during a stay is inconvenient, even when compensation is provided. Overall, though, I had a positive experience and used Flatio again.

I liked that I could pay through the website. I wish that we could do partial payments.
