Cozy Flat in Sesimbra Beach

I had a great stay at this apartment! It features a cozy living room combined with a kitchen, a separate bedroom with a comfortable 160 cm wide bed and a large wardrobe, plus an additional dark (windowless) room with a bunk bed. The kitchen is well-equipped with a dishwasher and a large fridge. There’s also a work desk and a comfortable sofa, making it a very functional space.

The apartment is on the ground floor, but the windows are at the height of a first floor, overlooking a hill with lots of trees and greenery and a one private house, but the area is very quiet. The street is a cul-de-sac, so there’s minimal car traffic. Looking left from the windows, you can enjoy a beautiful view of the ocean!

The sun only reaches the apartment in the late evening during sunset, so the place stays cool enough even on hot days without air conditioning. And there are usually free parking spots available not far from the house.

The landlord was always reachable and responded promptly to any requests, which made the stay even more pleasant.

Highly recommend this place for a quiet and comfortable stay!

The apartment is located in Sesimbra, a charming beach town known for its enormous sandy beach, which is the main reason many people visit. There are plenty of restaurants in town, but most are of average quality, with few high-rated options that often have long queues during lunch hours. Finding unique cuisine or good coffee spots can be a challenge, though there is one vegetarian café, Aloha, that offers quite healthy meals.

Most major shops are concentrated near the town center, around the bus station. Getting back to the apartment means climbing uphill if you don’t have a car. Large supermarkets are only available in a neighboring town, about 20 minutes away by bus. There are direct buses to Lisbon, but the bus journey takes an hour or more.

In the high season, especially on weekends, the town can get quite busy and crowded. However, the apartment is tucked away from the main streets, so it remains peaceful. During winter, Sesimbra transforms into a quiet, sparsely populated town, making it ideal for those seeking tranquility.

Jorge is the best host in our entire experience of 10 years of continuous travel. From the first message, Jorge provided detailed answers to all our questions. He provided invaluable assistance in obtaining a D visa to Portugal (made contract, made registration in Financas and so on); it is difficult for me to describe all the moments in which he proved himself not only as an excellent landlord, but also as a wonderful person. Thank you so much!
I’ll tell you in more detail about the points that interest most tenants. We discussed check-in time with Jorge, but we were delayed for a couple of hours and arrived closer to midnight. Jorge and his wife met us at the apartment, gave us the keys and told us more about the apartment. By the way, they gave us a portuguese gift, which was so nice. For any question, he gave quick answers on WhatsApp and Flatio, even those that did not relate to the apartment. And he not only gave answers, but also helped us few times and still helping after we move out.
The apartment is located on a slight hill five minutes walk from the historical center and the beach of Sesimbra. The place is quiet and with good friendly neighbors. View on the hills and trees. The sun light comes to apartment in the second part of the day. There is a free parking space in front of the house. The apartment is decorated in a minimalist style, very nice. There is everything for a comfortable life, from kitchen utensils to cleaning items. Fast Internet, Smart TV. There is a convenient place to work on a laptop/computer. The bedroom has roller shutters, which is convenient. I really recommend Jorge place in Sesimbra!

We had a great stay in a lovely, cozy apartment in a quiet area of Sesimbra! Access to the beach is very easy, and restaurants and supermarkets are conveniently located within a 5-minute walking distance. Jorge is an exceptional host! He went above and beyond to assist with everything we needed, not only pertaining to the apartment but also by providing excellent suggestions about the local area.
