Hello, I’m Sarmite, but everyone calls me Sandra. I’m originally from Riga, Latvia, and have been living in Funchal, Madeira for over 25 years. Madeira quickly became my home — I started working here, fell in love with the island, and never left.
With more than five years of experience in property rentals and management, I take great care in ensuring my guests have a comfortable, relaxing, and enjoyable stay. I personally own a flat and a house in Funchal, and since I live nearby, I’m always happy to assist — available 24 hours a day if you ever need help or advice.
I work exclusively online as a property manager, which allows me to be flexible and respond quickly to guests’ needs at any time.
I’m also an animal lover, so if you’re planning to bring your pet, please reach out before booking — I’ll be glad to discuss whether it’s suitable for the property.
I speak English, Portuguese, Latvian, and Russian, and I truly enjoy welcoming guests from around the world to this beautiful island.

Large open-plan with a nice view and relatively easy walk into the centre of town. The slanted ceiling in the shower is a bit low but as long as you're not taller than 180cm it's fine

A quiet, safe, and pleasant neighborhood with good infrastructure. Everything you need for daily life is nearby, and the area feels calm and comfortable. City center/ old city is ~ 15mins. away by walking. At the same time you don't hear the city noise. It is perfect location.

Sarmite was wonderful to communicate with. The apartment is very pleasant, clean, has all the necessary amenities and is walking distance to everything - shops, grocery, restaurants, mall, beach and lots of places to explore. I felt very safe walking around even late at night. Thanks again for everything - I would definitely stay again.

Explore Doca do Cavacas Natural Pools, Lido Promenade, the area is filled with delightful adventures. I did do some guided hikes in the area and they are breathtakingly beautiful. Including sunrise hike at Pico Grande.
